    The primary purpose of this position is to provide outstanding customer service to colleagues, faculty, and students. This position requires installations, modifications and repairs to computer hardware and software systems in use by colleagues, faculty and classroom labs, and to provide technical assistance to system users.  This position focuses on local and remote campus based support for colleagues and students. This position reports to an IT Supervisor and is located at the Phoenix, AZ campus.

    Responsibilities

    • Provides support and advanced troubleshooting on computers, servers and networking equipment at campus/office locations.
    • Configures, and maintains Cisco VOIP Phones.
    • Conducts preventive maintenance as needed.
    • Work on campus project-based tasks as assigned by IT Management (e.g., Software rollout, facilities additions and rearrangement) as requested.
    • Provides wireless device/remote user support (iPads, laptops, VPN, mobile phone, air card).
    • Provides Login account and user mailbox maintenance. Sets up new users.
    • Completes other projects and duties as assigned.
    • Completes other duties as assigned.

    • Associate’s degree in a technical field preferred.
    • IT related professional certifications desired.
    • Minimum of 2 years technical experience.
    • Minimum 1 years of experience with Active Directory in a large network environment required.
    • Experience supporting users and equipment in an academic environment preferred.
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications, Server and Desktop Operating Systems.  Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking, router configuration, VOIP telecommunications.
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication (oral and written) and problem solving skills required.
