Under the general direction, this position prepares a variety of reports to analyze student finance trends.  Typical daily duties include data entry, identifying trends in reports and presentation of findings to management



  • Prepares draw downs (pulling money from campus based funding sources) independent of supervisors approval.
  • Prepare student finance reports utilizing the database on a daily basis for reconciliation.
  • Identifies trends within student finance and analyzes reports.
  • Preparation and distribution of operational reports for decision making.
  • Performs related accounting activities.
  • Develops graphs, charts and spreadsheets to assist in report interpretation.
  • Presents report findings to management and explains any unusual changes.
  • Performs data entry in the student finance database and ensures accuracy of data.
  • Performs root cause analysis.
  • Ensures that all data entry and reports are completed in a timely manner.
  • Assists in any database or student finance system conversions with student finance management and the IT department.
  • Responsible for specific student finance vendor relationships
  • Recommends suggestions for improvement and, at times, will make decisions on issues that pertain to the vendors.
  • Capable of reviewing daily reports to ensure that all transactions have been accepted and successfully posted to students’ accounts, and correcting any transactions that were rejected to remove them from the Recycle Report.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Strong working knowledge of Title IV Funding and Student Finance policy
  • 2-3 yrs experience in an analytical position preferred.
  • Experience in Six Sigma or other process improvement experience
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to produce reports and interpret data. 
  • PC skills in Microsoft Office, Database and internet applications
